RT.HON ABIODUN AKINLADE, CITISIDE, MAUTIN DEJI BAG NYCN LEADERSHIP AWARDS.

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ipokia Local Government Branch, successfully hosted the historic Maiden Edition of the Ramadan Lecture and Award Presentation to some individuals who have contributed to the advancement of youth emancipation and empowerment in Ipokia Local Government.
The event which took place at Odan-Aje Town Hall, Idiroko, Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State brought together youths, schools, dignitaries, community leaders, and stakeholders from across the Local Government. In an official communique issued at the end of the ceremony, the programme aimed at promoting moral values, responsible youth engagement in nation building, and recognising individuals who have made remarkable contributions to youth development and community progress.

Chairman of the Planning Committee Comrade Khadijat Kofoworola Babarinde pointed out that the event was attended by notable youth leaders including the Deputy State Chairman of NYCN Comrade Adeoye Adejoke Kafilat; the State Treasurer, Comrade Folarin Felicia, the National Vice President of NYCN Southwest Zone and State Vice Chairman, Ogun West Senatorial District, Comrade Kehinde Damilola Olorunjubelo (KDO) and Comrade Kojeku, while the Ogun West Organising Secretary of the NYCN,
comrade Samuel Adeyemi served as the guest of Honour.
Delivering a lecture titled “The Role of Responsible Youth in Nation Building: An Islamic Perspective,” the guest lecturer, Fadilatul Sheikh Al-Imam Alhaji Wasiu Taiwo Adeshina,
urged youths to pursue education, acquire skills, participate in civic engagement, and promote honesty, peace, justice, and the fear of God in society.

Other dignitaries present included Rt. Hon. Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade, Member representing Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, represented by Alhaji Wasiu Olaniyan, and Hon. Bisi Oyedele Citiside, Member representing Ipokia/Idiroko Constituency at the Ogun State House of Assembly, represented by Comrade Mawutin Imoleayo Deji.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to distinguished personalities for their contributions to youth empowerment and community development.

In support of youth development, Rt. Hon. Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade donated two Bajaj motorcycles, cash donation, and announced employment opportunities for youths with HND in Agriculture. Also, Comrade Mawutin Imoleayo Deji donated ten bags of cement towards the construction of the proposed NYCN Youth House in Ipokia.

The National Vice President of NYCN Southwest Zone, Comrade Kehinde Damilola Olorunjubelo, also awarded educational scholarships to two outstanding comrades, Comrade Ayobami Kojo and Comrade Khadijat Kofoworola Babarinde.

The leadership of NYCN Ipokia Local Government Branch expressed deep appreciation to all dignitaries, organisations, schools, and youths who contributed to the success of the programme.
