In line with its commitment to improving road infrastructure and enhancing the welfare of residents, the Executive Chairman of Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Rauf Ibrahim Kayode Yemaren (RIKAY), has flagged off the grading of the Owode-Apa Road.

Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) indicated that the intervention, which commenced from the Afowo axis and will extend to the border community, is aimed at restoring the road’s motorability and providing relief to commuters, farmers, traders and other road users affected by the impact of the ongoing rainy season.
Speaking on the project, Hon. Yemaren described the grading exercise as a routine intervention undertaken by his administration to ensure residents continue to enjoy safe and accessible roads.
“This is not the first time we are carrying out this exercise. Despite the huge financial commitment involved, we remain resolute because the well-being of our people comes first. At the peak of the rainy season, this grading serves as a necessary palliative measure to ease movement and support economic activities across our communities,” the Chairman stated.
He reaffirmed that his administration will continue to respond to the infrastructural needs of residents through timely interventions, assuring that no community will be left behind in the council’s drive to deliver purposeful and people-centred governance.
