Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has condemned the recent suspected cult-related killing in Osogbo, calling for calm and urging security agencies to intensify efforts to restore order and bring those responsible to justice.
In a statement issued by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke described the killing and the ensuing violence as condemnable, stressing that law enforcement agencies must act swiftly to investigate the incident and apprehend the perpetrators.
The Governor warned that the resurgence of cult-related violence in Osogbo should not be allowed to worsen the state’s security situation, particularly in the aftermath of recent political violence.
He appealed to residents to remain peaceful and cooperate with security agencies.
