The Nigeria French Language Village in Badagry, Lagos State, has dismissed reports of a planned relocation by the Federal Government, urging the public to disregard the rumours.
In a statement dated 16th October 2026 and signed by the Deputy Registrar (Information and Protocols),
Mrs Sessi Fagbeji-Agemo,
the institution remains operational and continues to fulfil its statutory responsibilities.
The institution’s Management disclosed that the centre has trained more than 73,000 undergraduates from 52 universities over the past 35 years, alongside school leavers, government officials and other professionals.
The Nigeria French Language village also cited its reinstatement on the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) beneficiary list in 2025, following 14 years of exclusion, as evidence of federal government support.
Planet news reports that the management has offered no indication of a relocation plan, maintaining that the circulating claims should be disregarded.
